Birds of Prey at The Macs Farm
Join Deano Mac (The Macs Farm) and Tiger Cox (Wildside Tours) as we head out on a completely unique Bird of Prey walk around the grounds of the beautiful Macs farm in Ditchling, East Sussex.
The Macs farm is home to a variety of wild Birds of Prey including, Barn Owls, Little Owls, Tawny Owls, Buzzards, Red Kites, Kestrels and Sparrow Hawks.
This experience is perfect for anyone who wants to gain an understanding of the local wildlife that surrounds us! Birds of prey are a huge factor in our eco-system and contribute to maintaining a steady balance of smaller rodents and other small mammals, in turn creating a balance for many others to thrive.
Here at the Macs farm we are luckily enough to have 2 pairs of breeding barn owls that call our beautiful farm their home. We will be talking everything barn owl as we get hands on dissecting some Owl pellets.
We will be visiting a variety of different habitats including hedgerows, grass lands and wooded areas. You will have the opportunity to observe, touch, smell and taste a variety of wild plants and learn about their culinary and medicinal applications.
