COVID-19 Camping Update

Hello lovely people

A quick update from us to say that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be opening for camping in May and June. We are working so hard to open up our beautiful farm from July onward and we already can’t wait to see you all out enjoying yourselves.

As well as opening at weekends, we are so excited to be able to offer 3 night mid week stays. All camping is available to book online via the tabs at the top of our homepage or by using the buttons below.

This time has been such a worry for us, as it has been for so many other smaller run family businesses. Camping and events now make up around 65-7-% of our income and we were working so hard to give our farm the bright future that it deserves. We are so determined to keep on going and we really hope that you will join us on our journey by booking a stay here with us.

We can’t thank you enough for your understanding and your ongoing support towards our family and farm

Great for families

The Barn Owl Field

The field is proudly named after our resident barn owl, who lives in the trees at the back of our farm. She uses the field for hunting so be sure to keep an eye out for her when it starts to get dark!

Barn Owl Field consists of 30 pitches and is located at the top of our farm. It is a perfect space for families and couples who want to get away and spend some quality time together. We let the grass and wildflowers grow long and only mow in pitches and interconnecting pathways. This gives you plenty of space and privacy, as well as keeping our beloved wildlife safe.

All of our camping fields are completely car free. Campers use our unloading area to pile their bits and bobs into one of our wheelbarrows before taking it over to their pitch. This makes our camping fields safe for kids (and adults) to run until their heart is content. It also keeps the fields looking beautiful. Pitches are allocated prior to your arrival and are clearly displayed on our notice board when you arrive.

Each camping pitch has its own fire pit for you to use throughout your stay. Whether you use it to cook your fresh eggs in the morning, toast your marshmallows at night or just use it to keep warm with your family as the sun goes down- you can’t beat it.

When it comes to camping and British weather, we know things can be a bit unpredictable. Each year we put up our vintage marquee, so you can shelter from the rain (or sun) with your family and friends. It is equipped with tables and chairs for you to use. We have built a beautiful, wooden toilet and shower block with washing up facilities and a small fridge for you to use during your stay.

The Mac Shack will be open at certain times throughout your stay, serving you proper coffee, tea and soft drinks as well as local beer, wine and cider. We will have delicious homemade cakes, brownies and sausage rolls (all made with our very own organic free range eggs) as well as a selection of ice creams and snacks.
