Terms & Conditions

We are so pleased that you have chosen to come at stay with us at our farm campsite. We really do hope that you have a lovely time with your friends and family. To ensure a smooth and safe campsite for everybody please have a good read through the terms and conditions listed below.

PAYMENT

Unless agreed in writing, you are legally responsible for any payments due to us.

Full payment will be taken at the time of booking. Your pitch/es will only be confirmed once this payment has been received. Payments are taken through our online booking system.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

BARN OWL FIELD

As part of your booking the following will be included:

  • PITCH AND FIRE PIT: One pitch includes up to four people in one tent. If your party is larger than four, then extra people can be added at the time of booking. A pitch can hold up to a maximum of 6 people. Pitches will be allocated prior to arrival.
  • LENGTH OF STAY: Bookings include stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) on a normal weekend, and three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) on a bank holiday weekend.
  • USE OF MARQUEE: Please leave the space clean any tidy to be enjoyed by other guests.
  • ‘THE MAC SHACK’: You will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and snacks from the shack during opening hours. ‘The Mac Shack’ will accept both cash and card.
  • TOILET AND SHOWER BLOCK, WASHING UP SINKS AND FRIDGE
  • DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREA

LITTLE OWL FIELD

As part of your booking the following will be included:

  • PITCH AND FIREPITS: One pitch includes up to four people in one tent. If your party is larger than four, then extra people can be added at the time of booking. A pitch can hold up to a maximum of 6 people. Pitches are not allocated prior to arrival. There are fire pits dotted around for you to use.
  • LENGTH OF STAY: Bookings include stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) on a normal weekend, and three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) on a bank holiday weekend.
  • USE OF THE OLD CHOOK SHED: Please leave the space clean any tidy to be enjoyed by other guests.
  • ‘THE MAC SHACK’: You will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and snacks from the shack during opening hours. ‘The Mac Shack’ will accept both cash and card.
  • TOILET AND SHOWER BLOCK, WASHING UP SINKS AND FRIDGE
  • DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREA

TAWNY OWL FIELD LARGE GROUP PITCH

As part of your booking the following will be included:

  • PITCH AND FIREPITS: Our large group pitch can accommodate up to a maximum of 40 people. There is a large communal fire pit on the pitch.
  • LENGTH OF STAY: Bookings include stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) on a normal weekend, and three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) on a bank holiday weekend.
  • USE OF THE MARQUEE: Please leave the space clean any tidy to be enjoyed by other guests.
  • ‘THE MAC SHACK’: You will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and snacks from the shack during opening hours. ‘The Mac Shack’ will accept both cash and card.
  • TOILET AND SHOWER BLOCK, WASHING UP SINKS AND FRIDGE
  • DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREA

TAWNY OWL FIELD MEDIUM GROUP PITCH

As part of your booking the following will be included:

  • PITCH AND FIREPITS: Our medium group pitch can accommodate up to a maximum of 24 people. There is a large communal fire pit on the pitch.
  • LENGTH OF STAY: Bookings include stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) on a normal weekend, and three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) on a bank holiday weekend.
  • USE OF THE MARQUEE: Please leave the space clean any tidy to be enjoyed by other guests.
  • ‘THE MAC SHACK’: You will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and snacks from the shack during opening hours. ‘The Mac Shack’ will accept both cash and card.
  • TOILET AND SHOWER BLOCK, WASHING UP SINKS AND FRIDGE
  • DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREA

BELL TENTS

We work with Bumblebell Tents. Bell tents are available to hire for your camping weekend for an additional cost. We will put up your bell tent for you before you arrive and take it down after you have left.

1. All orders are accepted subject to these terms and conditions and the “FAQs” section of our website and no other terms or representations; by making a booking, Guests agree to this.

2. “We”, “our” and “us” means Bumble Bell Tents Limited. “Guest” means the person(s) making the booking. “Tent” means a Bell Tent and any other accommodation, as specified on the booking, including their contents.

3. Guests agree, for themselves and on behalf of the other occupants of the Tent they have booked:

– That no smoking is permitted in or within 3 metres of the Tent.

– Not to use any lighting, heating, cooking or gas appliances or electric heaters, or any fire, candle or other naked flame in the tent unless battery operated.

– Guests agree to keep the tent closed, dry and secure and in particular to close any door fastenings when the tent is vacant or occupied and always on departure.

– Not to tamper with the structure or any part of the equipment and in particular not to affix or suspend any item from the Tent.

– Not to bring animals into Tents.

– To pay Bumble Bell Tents for any damage or excessive soiling to the Tents during the hire period.

– Guests agree that the land provided for us to pitch the tents and fulfil the Guest booking must be in a suitable condition and will be clear of any debris, animal, faeces.

4. In the event that Bumble Bell Tents and associated equipment is unacceptable or incorrect, the event manager must be notified at the time and before use.

5. Provision of Services:

– Check-in and check-out times will be specified on the booking form or otherwise specified in writing by us. No refunds will be given for earlier check out.

– Our normal hire period is of 48 hours unless otherwise specified. These times may differ depending upon your venue or campsite restrictions.

– We will supply all tents and furnishings in accordance with the booking confirmation that you receive. Anything we provide you with remains our property and must be returned at the end of the hire period.

– Beds: we supply a variety of bed options which will be stipulated on your booking form.

– If we are specifically supplying airbeds we will: a) supply fully inflated airbeds but we cannot be responsible for the loss of air during the hire period, which can happen due to factors such as air temperature, the airbeds being jumped on or walked on, b) We will always leave a spare mattress and pump in an allocated area, we will advise you of this be departure.

6. Bumble Bell Tents retains the right to cancel the booking if they believe the weather conditions such as wind speed, site exposure, ground holdings and force may result in an unsafe or unsuitable environment and risk damage to the tents. If we cancel a full refund will be made to guests. We will make refunds without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we receive notice of cancellation. We will make the refund using the same means of payment as was used for the booking. Apart from the deductions referred to above, no fees will be charges as a result of the refund.

7. Exclusion of liability:

– We will not be responsible for loss or damage to property howsoever caused or for injury to persons unless the injury arose from negligence on our part or our liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

– Guests acknowledge that glamping is in fact not different to conventional camping and involves exposure to nature, this includes insects and other wildlife. The design of the Tents has integrated ground sheets helping to keep them at bay, but Guests and other occupants should take sensible precautions so as not to attract insects and other animals species by keeping food containers sealed and not leaving litter or food wrappers around. We will not be liable for harm arising from such natural phenomena. Bumble Bell Tents can not offer compensation for the presence of insects or other wildlife species in any part or near to the tent.

– You and Your Guests acknowledge that We are providing Accommodation which is temporary and in locations that are not under Our direct control. We advise that You and Your guests take reasonable steps to prepare for this.

– Guests accept that the services we provide are in fact that of camping. In the event that there are high winds or heavy rain once the tents have been erected and we have left the site then we advise guests/clients to check guide ropes in order that the tent structure remains secure, to avoid any possible weather damage and it ensure interiors remain secure and dry.

– We will do all we can to provide Tents to the specification on the booking, but where that proves impossible, we will communicate with Guests to provide an acceptable alternative.

– While every possible effort will be made by Bumble Bell Tents to complete an order, Bumble Bell Tents cannot be held liable for non-completion of orders due to matters beyond its control. The Booking is subject to cancellation or variation due to acts of god, war, strikes, riots, extreme weather conditions such as flood, storm or gale or restrictions on the use of transport or any other cause beyond the control of Bumble Bell Tents. In the event of frustration of the Booking due to any of the above causes Bumble Bell Tents shall refund to the hirer any monies received in respect of the booking.

– The Booking is to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any dispute arising hereunder is to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

To make staying on our farm enjoyable as possible we kindly ask that all guests adhere to the following:

  • ARRIVAL: You are free to arrive any time after 12 noon on the Friday of your booked weekend. Check out is 12 noon on a Thursday for a midweek stay and 2pm on a Sunday of a weekend stay. No vehicles are allowed into the camping field at any time. Wheelbarrows will be placed in our unloading area. These are provided for you to transfer all your camping gear to your pitch. Once this is completed please return the wheelbarrow and move your car from the unloading zone by the toilet and shower block to the designated car parking area.
  • PARKING: Parking is only allowed in the designated car parking areas. Vehicles and any other property are left at your own risk. We will not be held responsible in cases of damage or loss of your property. Driving is restricted to 10mph anywhere on the farm.
  • MUSIC: We are a quiet family campsite. No amplified music is allowed, only acoustic music up until 10pm. Silent discos are not permitted. We respectfully ask that the campsite is quiet by 10pm.
  • CAMPERS: We do not allow unsupervised campers under below the age of 21
  • FIRE PITS AND WOOD: Only firewood purchased on site is permitted to be burnt in the fire pits. Please do not bring any with you or forage for it. Everything you need to have a campfire can be purchased from us in advance or upfront on the weekend of your event. In the event of very hot and dry weekend we have the right to ban use of all fire pits. Use your fire pits at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any personal injury that is sustained whilst you are camping and using the campfires on our farm.
  • RUBBISH AND WASTE: All your rubbish and recycling must be taken home with you and pitches must be left clear. We recommend that you try and leave unnecessary packaging at home to make this as easy as possible. Bring your reusable mug or plastic glasses over to our Mac Shack and receive 10p off your drink!
  • DOGS: We welcome well behaved dogs to the farm. Please keep them under control and watch them with the chickens and other farm animals. They must be on a lead if walking through the chicken fields. Always clear up after them. Take a look at our dog policy for more information.
  • GLASS: Where possible, we kindly ask guests to use plastic cups/glasses. This is to keep our farm, animals and all our guests safe. Any broken glass must be cleared up properly and immediately.
  • FIREWORKS/LANTERNS: No fireworks or lanterns to be used at any time.
  • KITE FLYING: Strictly NO kite flying anywhere on site.
  • SWIMMING: No swimming in the duck pond.
  • PLEASE NOTE: We will not be held responsible for any personal injury that is sustained whilst you are camping. We ask that every camper is respectful of others, the farm and the environment. We reserve the right of admission. Any guests being disrespectful or not adhering to the responsibilities listed above will be asked to leave. No refund will be given.

WEATHER

In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel your camping weekend. In this case, we would offer you an alternative weekend or a full refund.

CANCELLATION

If you cancel your booking for any reason, the following will apply.

  • If you cancel your booking more than 22 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund.
  • If you cancel your booking 21-15 days before arrival, you will receive a 75%
  • If you cancel you booking 14-8 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • If you cancel your booking 7-0 days before arrival, no refund will be given.
